SSCV snowboarder Brooklyn DePriest placed sixth at the FIS Park and Pipe World Junior Championships slopestyle competition on Wednesday and took fifth in the big air final on Sunday.

Jolene Edelman, a VSSA Junior, completed an 18 hours bike race this past weekend. She placed 3rd, completing 15 laps (111 miles). Way to go Jolene!

Vail Mountaineers Bantam A U14 takes home the Littleton President's Day tournament championship banner, going 6-0! VSSA Hockey players include Mikie Janelle, Shai Silberman, Sam Streb, Brandon Lorenti, Nick Kisielica, Nathan Rahe and Lars Monroe and VSSA Hockey coach Dave LoSasso. 

VSSA students and sisters Cydney Harrison and Caroline Harrison's U19 Girls AA team took home the championship banner from the Western Girls Hockey League Championship with wins over Anaheim, New Mexico, Seattle Sno-kings and the Colorado 14ers. Way to go ladies!
 
MS Wins 2A State Soccer Championship

Super Spellers
Congratulations to Lisa Mech in 7th grade who placed 4th overall in the district spelling bee. Jackson Farmer in 7th grade also represented VSSA in the district spelling bee. Way to go Lisa and Jackson!

Team Colorado player and VSSA student Caroline Harrington was part of the Team Colorado U14 AAA championship win at the Florida Rush MLK tournament. Nice work Caroline!

 
Kathleen Viele and Samantha Kisielica helped the Vail Mountaineers Girls U10 team go undefeated to win the Steamboat Springs Adele Dombrowski Mountain Divas Tournament. Great work girls!
VSSA students Mikie Janelle, Brandon Lorenti, Nick Kisielica, Lars Monroe, Nathan Rahe, Shai Silberman and Sam Streb took home the championship banner from the Aspen Fall Faceoff with Vail Mountaineers Bantam A. Congratulations! 
 
VSSA 6th grader, Hattie Hiatt  and the Team Colorado AAA U12 Girls won the CCM Dallas tournament. Her team is now ranked 7th in the nation. Congratulations Hattie!

Calen is a top-ranked USABMX 13-year-old national age group rider.  He is currently attending an elite BMX race camp in Phoenix, Az. to help prepare for the USABMX Grand Nationals in November.

The Vail Christian boys tennis team qualified two athletes from the 4A Region 8 tennis tournament to the state championships in Pueblo this weekend. 

The Avon Swim Team coaches with athletes Paisley Thompson, Jackie Woodrow, Maddison Beidel and Logan Shiao at the CSI Age-group state meet.

Congratulations to VSSA students Alex Barcza, Costner Bradshaw, Eric Peters, Gage Scahill, Kolt Sypniewski,  Cash Walker, and Thomas Werner on bringing home the banner from the MLK DU Pioneer Classic. 

VSSA’s Broxdon Dickson’s Arapahoe 12U NAVY team went undefeated this past weekend to win the Justin Waldron Memorial Arapahoe Fall invitational.
