Graduation Requirements
25 credits are required for graduation, with a minimum in the below areas. One semester course earns 0.5 credit.

Grading
Grades are given on a letter scale: A, B, C, D, and F. GPA is calculated using semester grades based on grades earned in weighted and non-weighted classes.

VSSA Course Progression
All incoming 9th graders are also enrolled in English 9, Biology, Health, and Study Hall, and either World History or AP Human Geography.
Our Upper School progression for graduation is the following:
English:
English 9th, English 10th, AP English Language & Composition, AP English Literature & Composition.
Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Dual Enrollment College Algebra & Trigonometry,
AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Statistics.
Science:
Biology, DE Environmental Science/Anatomy/Physiology, Chemistry, Physics.
Social Studies:
AP Human Geography (9th or 10th), World History (9th or 10th), AP US History, Government, Economics.
